In-depth Education for Pilates Instructors
ISP is a highly interactive presentation with plenty of hands-on practical application for learning how to work with movement dysfunctions using Pilates exercises. You’ll gain confidence in working with special populations and conditions including pregnancy, CFS, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Obesity, the Elderly, Osteoporosis and many more.
In this super-intensive 4-day course, you’ll learn:
- important principles and techniques you need to address weaknesses, health conditions, postural problems or injuries
- the biomechanics to understand movement dysfunctions of each major joint of the body and how each area affects other areas of the system.
- how to hone your skills in postural analysis with new dynamic assessment tools
- clinical reasoning pathways for assessing an injured musculoskeletal system
- how to recognize “red-flags” that tell you it is time to refer your client on to an appropriate medical professional
- how to to return clients to daily activities, social sports or high-level athletic competition
- how to communicate effectively and accurately with medical professionals, and how to seek advice or references when needed

To get the best price and education, consider taking Injuries and Special Populations as an “add-on” course to the matwork stream or reformer stream. You are required to take Level 1 Mat or Level 1 Reformer prior to taking this course. All prices listed below include tuition and required course materials.
